Grandesso Damiano
Damiano Grandesso, born in 1990, graduated with full marks at the age of 16 at the Conservatory of Vicenza as a private owner under the guidance of maestro Dario Balzan. He obtained his master’s degree in saxophone at the Milan Conservatory in the class of maestro Daniele Comoglio, with full marks and honors. He then specialized in Vienna in the class of maestro Lars Mlekusch and in Bordeaux (France) with Marie Charrier. He has played in the most prestigious halls around the world including Musikverein Vienna, Taipei National Concert Hall, Teatro del Lago Chile, etc. Since 2016 he has been artistic director of Alpen Classica Festival. He is a member of the Five Sax and the Milano Saxophone Quartet. He has held masterclasses in Italy, Spain, Serbia, Chile, USA, Korea, Taiwan. Since 2012 he is often invited to play with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra and the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. He is the winner of 12 first prizes in national and international competitions. He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association for “I Tramonti di Porto Flavia” and “ARTango & jazz Festival”.
