Drummer, percussionist, vibraphonist, pianist, singer, director of vocal groups, author of symphonic works and chamber music. He has played with great names in jazz such as Paul McCandless, Luciano Biondini, Danilo Rea, Tony Scott, Tino Tracanna, Stefano “cocco” Cantini, Cristina Zavalloni and many others. He has toured Italy, Japan, China, India, Russia, Spain, Germany and Colombia. He has 15 albums to his credit and written and produced dozens of musical works.
In 2015 the album “Linea S” was released, a concept album inspired by Raymond Queneau’s text “Esercizi di stile”. Giacomo writes his music around eleven excerpts from Eco’s translation, masterfully recited by the actor Guido Ciavola, giving shape to 7 compositions whose execution is entrusted to Piero Bronzi, Gabrio Baldacci, Gabriele Evangelista and Bernardo Guerra.
In September 2016 his first album as a singer and songwriter entitled “Into my life” was released. The album will contain 7 original songs in English, recorded between Colombia and Italy together with Gabrio Baldacci, Brian Vasquez and Jacobo Alvarez. He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association for the concert Tango meets Jazz together with Fabio Furia – bandoneon, Federico Mondelci – the sax, Marco Schirru – piano and the Anton Stadler string quintet as part of the ARTango&Jazz Festival, XVI edition 2025.
