MICHEL BOURDONCLE

Piano

After studying at the Darius Milhaud Conservatory in Aix with Jacqueline Courtin and Bernard Flavigny, he was admitted to the National Superior Conservatory of Paris for Music and Dance where he took lessons with GeneviĆØve Joy, Jean Hubeau, Christian Ivaldi and Dominique Merlet. In 1986, a scholarship took him to the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory where he met his mentors Henriette Mirvis, Samvil Alumian, Mikhail Vosskressensky and Lev Naoumov. He regularly performs in the most important theaters in the world: the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Sala di San Paolo, the Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Anichkov Palace in St. Petersburg, the Sala Verdi in Milan, just to name a few. From 1981 to 1991 he worked for the Paris National Superior Conservatory for Music and Dance. He also taught piano at the National Superior Conservatory of Lyon, and taught chamber music at the Regional Conservatory of Marseille. He organizes master classes in numerous countries and participates in various radio and television programs. Since 1987 he has been teaching piano at the Darius Milhaud Conservatory in Aix-en-Provence. He is the founder and artistic director of the Festival, the Academy and the International Competition “Les Nuits Pianistiques” (The Piano Nights). He participated at the XXIV edition of the International Chamber Music Festival 2022 by Associazione Anton Stadler.
