For many years Sergio Marchegiani has been carrying out an intense concert activity that has led him to play throughout Europe, in North and South America, in Asia and Australia and to perform in the most important halls: Great Hall of Carnegie Hall in New York, Great Hall of the Philharmonie and the Konzerthaus in Berlin, etc. He has performed as a soloist with major orchestras such as the Berliner Symphoniker, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and others. Alongside his solo activity, he has a passion for chamber music, collaborating with musicians such as Bruno Canino, Simonide Braconi, Adrian Pinzaru, the Quartet of I Solisti di Mosca and the Oistrakh String Quartet. For 15 years he has been training with the pianist Marco Schiavo one of the most dynamic and appreciated Italian piano duos. The Duo Schiavo-Marchegiani has held hundreds of concerts all over the world and records exclusively for Decca which has released three CDs dedicated to Schubert (2014), Brahms (2018). He is a principal piano teacher at the “A. Vivaldi” of Alessandria. He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association as part of the “International Chamber Music Festival” and “Colori e Note”.
