Descharmes Romain
He began his piano studies at the Conservatoire régional du Grand Nancy, where he won a gold medal in the class of Hugues Leclère at the age of 14. He studied with Jacques Rouvier, Christian Ivaldi, Bruno Rigutto, Jean Koerner and Anne Grappotte. He teaches chamber music at the CNR in Paris. He has also been awarded in international competitions (Vlado Perlemuter, Shanghai, Hamamatsu, Alessandro Casagrande). He has collaborated with artists such as Roland Daugareil, Henri Demarquette, Laurent Korcia, Sarah Nemtanu, the Court-Circuit Ensemble, the Ebène Philarmoniker Quintette. He has recorded several CDs for piano (Ravel -Audite, Brahms -Claudio Records) and chamber music (Naïve, Cristal, Saphir). Since 2010 he has been playing the piano under the Quai n ° 5 brand. From 9 to 15 March 2013, he was invited to the Experimental Theater of the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai, India. He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association as part of the “ARTango & Jazz Festival”.
