He began his musical studies at the age of eight at the Conservatory à rayonnement régional de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, where he studied violin, piano, French horn, writing and chamber music. He continued his violin studies in Brussels with Maurice Raskin, then at the Higher National Conservatory musique et danse de Lyon, with Veda Reynolds. From 1989 to 1991, he was first violin of the Orchester National de Lyon. Since 1992, Duroy has had a concert career that has taken him to all continents. Duroy has an important pedagogical activity: he is currently a teacher at the Conservatory à rayonnement régional de Lyon. He is also invited to give master classes in Asia (Japan and Korea) and Europe and is a jury member in numerous international competitions. Duroy has been the founder-and artistic director of the Musicalta since its creation in 1993. He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association as part of the “International Chamber Music Festival”.
