Festivals and Events

Since its establishment, the Anton Stadler Association has been responsible for the ideation and organization of important exhibitions now consolidated in the territory.
The permanent venue of the chamber music program is the Electra Theater of Iglesias, where every year during the autumn the International Chamber Music Festival is held, a historic initiative of the association, which in 2018 cuts the milestone of the XXII edition.

During the summer there is a preview of the International Festival of Chamber Music divided into two distinct moments: the first Colori & Note, is home to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Calasetta; the second I Tramonti di Porto Flavia is organized in the suggestive and incomparable setting of Porto Flavia, in the former mining area of ​​Masua.
In the town of Calasetta, in the summer, there is also the ARTango & jazz Festival, dedicated to tango and bandoneon Specialization courses.

There are also many ongoing initiatives aimed at educating the public, understood as audience development and audience building, both for adults and children.
At the Iglesias Municipal Library there is in fact ABC Musica, a real school of the spectator aimed at providing the participants with the basic tools for a conscious listening to the art music.
In addition, an important space is reserved for young generations, to whom the Mini festival for schools is dedicated, which accompanies the youngest ones in their cultural education in the musical field.
