“I concerti di primavera” (Spring Concerts) – 6th edition 2024

After the great success of the extraordinary “Concierto doble” performed on 14 April at the Conservatory of Cagliari, as part of the ARTango&Jazz Festival, it is time to inaugurate the 6th edition of the chamber music festival “I concerti di primavera”!

From 12th May to 9th June, at the Electra Theatre in Iglesias, three special events await you in the company of established musicians and young emerging talents.

The protagonist of the first concert “Blu Tango” is the Duo Maclé formed by pianists Sabrina Dente and Annamaria Garibaldi. A refined and engaging repertoire that will retrace the most famous compositions by Piazzolla and Gershwin.

The second appointment, on Sunday 26th May, will see the young pianist Edoardo Mancini, winner of the Giangrandi-Eggmann Competition, on stage. With his programme entitled ‘Sogni Fantastici’ (Fantastic Dreams), he will take us on a journey through the 19th century composers Schumann, Chopin and Scriabin.

The festival will conclude on Sunday 9th June with the concert ‘Virtuosismo e belcanto’, performed by flutist Giuseppe Nova and pianist Giorgio Costa: the programme will range from the great Italian composers with music by Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Doppler and Saint-Saens.
