ARTango & Jazz Festival – 15th edition 2024

ARTango & Jazz Festival returns from 1st August to 1st September 2024, in some of the most evocative locations in South Sardinia including the Tonnara Su Pranu in Portoscuso, the Villa Salazar in Piscinas, the Villa Siotto in Sarroch and many more!

On the programme are eight free concerts with prestigious musicians, including: the Duo Guirimbadu composed of Eudoro Grade, guitar, and Vasco Ramalho, marimba, who will perform on 1st August in the evocative setting of Pozzo Baccarini in Gonnesa with a programme entitled ‘Timeless Sounds’, and the pianist Maurizio Mastrini who will stop with his ‘Ghost’ tour on 6th August at the Tonnara Su Pranu in Portoscuso.

Adding to the 15th edition is a special tour by the typical Tango Orchestra of the Cagliari Conservatory of Music, with the participation of bandoneonist and Festival artistic director Fabio Furia. The concert ‘Lo què vendrà’ will in fact be hosted in the six municipalities of Gonnesa, Sarroch, Narcao, Portoscuso, Piscinas and Iglesias.

To end a wonderful summer of music in style, the festival will end as always with a great concert at the Grotta S. Barbara in Iglesias. The performance entitled “La notte dei romantici virtuosi” will be performed by internationally renowned soloists Claudio Mansutti on clarinet and Maria Solozobova on violin, accompanied by the Anton Stadler Orchestra.
