LEONARDO TERUGGI

Double bass

Double bass player, composer and arranger, his musical qualities and his constant creative approach have made him one of the most active and sought-after musical figures of his generation. He plays with the three major figures of the genre, the great bandoneonist Juan-José Mosalini, the pianist and composer Gustavo Beytelmann and the guitarist and composer Tomás Gubitsch. His qualities as a chamber musician naturally led him to Baroque music within the prestigious L’Arpeggiata ensemble, directed by Christina Pluhar. He has performed as a chamber musician in more than thirty countries in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Berliner Konzerthaus, ElbPhilharmonie in Hamburg, Kölner Philharmonie, Wiener Konzerthaus, Wiener Staatsoper, Concertgebouw in Bruges, Bozar and Salle Flajey in Brussels, etc. He currently teaches classical double bass and tango, as well as tango chamber music at the C.R.D. by Gennevilliers. He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association as part of the “ARTango & Jazz Festival”.
