MATTEO SALERNO

Flute

He graduated in 1994 in transverse flute at the G. Verdi Musical Institute in Ravenna with full marks. Subsequently he attended the three-year specialization course at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome with Angelo Persichilli. He won several competitions for flute and chamber music including in 1995 the one held by the Filarmonica della Scala, chaired by Riccardo Muti, in which he was awarded a scholarship for the best Italian graduates. Much of his activity is dedicated to chamber music both as a soloist and with various formations and ensembles with which he has been performing for over twenty years on behalf of the main Italian concert institutions. He teaches basic courses at the Vecchi Tonelli Institute in Carpi and at the Musical Institute F.lli Malerbi in Lugo (RA). He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association as part of “I Tramonti di Porto Flavia”.
