Bandoneon
Composer, arranger and master of the internationally renowned bandoneon. Daniel Binelli is considered the greatest exponent and torchbearer of Astor Piazzolla’s music. In 1989 he joined Astor Piazzolla’s New Tango Sextet, on tour internationally. He has played with various orchestras such as the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestras, Atlanta, Virginia, Sidney, Montreal, Ottawa, St. Petersburg and the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra. Some of the directors Binelli has worked with include: Charles Dutoit, Lalo Schiffrin, Franz Paul Decker, Robert Spano Joann Faletta, Giselle Ben Dor, Isaiah Jackson, Michael Christie. He is musical director of the Tango Metropolis Company. He has made arrangements and works for the Zurich Symphony, the Edmonton Symphony, the Buffalo Philharmonic, Colorado Music Festival, etc. In addition, Binelli has composed music for Argentine films: India Pravile, Funes un-Gran Amor and Tango Baile Nuestro. He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association as a teacher of the Bandoneon International Masterclass within the ARTango & jazz Festival.
