GIANNA FRATTA

She decided to dedicate her life to conducting at the age of nine, the first time she heard a live orchestra, while studying piano at the Milan Conservatory. She then graduated at a very young age in piano, composition, choral music, choral conducting and orchestral conducting. At the same time, she graduated in law. During his career, he has played and conducted in the most important theaters in the world, including Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, Carnegie Hall in New York, Seoul Arts Center, Hong Kong Opera, Smetana Hall in Prague, Teatro Municipal in São Paolo. International orchestras with which he has collaborated include the Berliner Symphoniker, the Prime Orchestra of Seoul, the Macau Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National d’Île-de-France, the Hong Kong Opera House Orchestra, the Royal Academy of London and many others.
The conducting activity in Italy includes collaborations with the main orchestras such as the RAI National Symphony Orchestra of Turin, the Orchestra of the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic of Parma, the Tuscany Regional Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Petruzzelli Theater, the Orchestra of the Arena di Verona Foundation, the Symphony of Milan.
In the 2024 season it was the only one in Italy to inaugurate two opera houses: the Fondazione Arena di Verona with The Magic Flute and the Giuseppe Verdi Opera House in Trieste with Manon Lescaut. He holds a chair at the Conservatory of Foggia and regularly holds courses and masterclasses in many universities around the world. She is a Knight of the Italian Republic for international artistic merits as a pianist and conductor and the protagonist of various documentaries that tell her life. She was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association together with Dino De Palma on the violin, as part of the XXVII International Chamber Music Festival 2025.
