LAURENTIUS DINCA

Violin

Born in Bucharest, he studied at the conservatories in Bucharest and Lubeck. Prize winner in numerous international competitions: Tibor Varga (Sion), Louis Spohr (Freiburg), Canales (Barcelona). From 1980-1984 concertmaster of the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra. Since 1984 he is playing Violin in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. He has led the Athenaeum String Quartet Berlin since 1991 and the Philharmonisches String Octet Berlin since 1995. Since 2005 is Laurentius Dinca concert master of the “Philharmonic Virtuoso Berlin” Ensemble. Winner of the Viottis Prize. In 1992 received the Croce dell’ordine al Merito Melitense. Since 1995, first violinist in the Philharmonische Geigen Berlin. He plays a violin made by Antonio Testore. He has been a guest of the Anton Stadler Association, with the string quintet of the Berliner Philharmoniker, as part of the ARTango&Jazz Festival, XIII edition 2022.
