LUCIO DEGANI

Violin

He graduated with honors from the Conservatory of Florence under the guidance of Maestro Renato Zanettovich, then with Maestros De Rosa Farulli and Gilels. Awarded in various national and international competitions, he has undertaken an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. Since the age of 19 he has collaborated with “I Solisti Veneti” directed by Maestro Claudio Scimone, a prestigious and historic formation in which since 2000 he has held the role of main violin and soloist performing in the most important theaters and concert halls in the world with famous soloists. He has collaborated, as violinist, with the Italian Youth Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, the Orchestra of the Teatro Verdi of Trieste, playing under the direction of illustrious conductors (Maazel, Maag, Muti, Renzetti, Scimone, Sinopoli, Thielemann,). He has made radio and television recordings as a soloist for BBC, RAI, RAI TRADE, ORF, Radio France and has made numerous recordings for Erato, RCA, Philips, EMI, Warner Fonit. For Bongiovanni he recorded a CD dedicated to American music revised in the transcriptions of Jascha Heifetz and the complete compositions for violin and piano by the violinist and composer pupil of Bazzini, Antonio Freschi. Degani plays a Don Nicola Amati violin from 1734 and is currently professor of violin at the “Jacopo Tomadini” Conservatory in Udine. He was a guest of the Association as part of the XIII edition of the Festival Internazionale di Musica da Camera 2021.
