She obtains the Diploma in Piano Performance from the Liceu Conservatories and continues her studies at the Ecole Normale in Paris. Her international career has led her to perform throughout Europe, America and Asia. She regularly performs in major cities including Paris, London, Madrid, Brussels, Rome, Prague, Vienna, Barcelona, Belgrade, Milan, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Shanghai, among others. Since 1987, together with Carles Lama, she has been a member of the famous “Carles & Sofia, piano duo”, an example of artistic talent and one of the most renowned piano duets in Europe. Sofia is also involved in a number of projects for the promotion of classical music and classical musicians, having founded and directed several concert series and festivals. Her discography includes several CDs both solo and four-handed and she is an acclaimed artist on the classic label KNS. She was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association as part of the “International Chamber Music Festival”.
