Munich-based guitarist Augustin Wiedemann was the 1992 winner of the 6th International Guitar Competition held in Havana, Cuba. From 2001 to 2004 Augustin Wiedemann taught at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In the academic year 2006/2007 he taught as a visiting professor at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm / Sweden. In Munich he was awarded the “Pasinger Kunst- und Kulturpreis” in 2008. Since September 2011 Augustin Wiedemann has been teaching guitar professor at the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium in Feldkirch / Austria. He has appeared as a soloist in the United States, South Korea, Sweden, the Netherlands, Russia, Cuba, Portugal, Spain, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Italy, Austria and Germany, as well as with several orchestras. In addition to his classical concerts, Augustin Wiedemann also plays in the crossover project “Classic meets Soul” with jazz singer and guitarist Kosho. The CD “Classic meets Soul-Live in München” was released in autumn 2002. He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association as part of “I Tramonti di Porto Flavia”.
