ANNA TIFU

Violin

She is considered one of the best performers of her generation of hers. Born in Cagliari, she began studying the violin at the age of six under the guidance of her father. She graduated at the age of fifteen at the Cagliari Conservatory with full marks and the Honorable Mention. She studied with her Salvatore Accardo at the Walter Stauffer Academy in Cremona and later at the Chigiana Academy in Siena where, in 2004, she obtained the Diploma of Honor. She was admitted, at the age of 17, to the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia where she studied with Aaron Rosand, Shmuel Ashkenazy and Pamela Frank and later she specialized in Paris where she obtained a higher diploma as a concert performer. She has performed with some of the most prestigious National and International Orchestras. She has collaborated with musicians such as Maxim Vengerov, Yuri Bashmet, Ezio Bosso, etc. She was the testimonial of Alitalia’s 2011 advertising campaign, together with Riccardo Muti, Giuseppe Tornatore and Eleonora Abbagnato. She plays the violin Antonio Stradivari “Marèchal Berthier” 1716 ex Napoleon of the Fondazione Canale in Milan. She is often a guest of the Anton Stadler Association for the International Chamber Music Festival and ARTango & jazz Festival and take part as a soloist in some of the association’s productions.
