International Masterclass of Bandoneon VIII Ed. 2022

From August 24th to 27th 2022, at the Teatro Electra in Iglesias, the Bandoneón International Masterclass, now in its 8th edition, will start again. The event, organized by the Anton Stadler Association and the Italian Bandoneon Academy, in collaboration with the Conservatoire du Grand Avignon, the Codarts University of Rotterdam and the G.P. da Palestrina di Cagliari, is made as part of the XII edition of ARTango & Jazz Festival.

The Masterclass will host five exceptional teachers: Per Arne Glorvigen, Argentine bandoneonist and composer of international fame; M° Yvonne Hahn, teacher of bandoneon at the Conservatoire du Grand Avignon; M° Santiago Cimadevilla, teacher of bandoneon at Codarts University in Rotterdam, M° Fabio Furia, teacher of bandoneon at the G.P. from Palestrina di Cagliari and Director of the Italian Bandoneon Academy and Gianmaria Melis, First Shoulder Violin at the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari.

Four intense days dedicated to the study and deepening of the bandoneon for different levels: basic-intermediate and advanced. It will pass, through orchestral and individual lessons, from basic techniques to those of tango, up to extemporaneous execution workshops.

This year, on the evening of August 24th, the final phase of the “Heinrich Band” International Competition will also take place. The winner will win an AA 142 bandoneón worth € 7.949,00 offered by the Bandonion4Friends Association and the Bandonion & Concertina Fabrik of Klingental.

As always, the Masterclass will end with the final concert on August 27th!

Registrations will expire on June 30, 2022.
