Canne al vento

This production is inspired by the literary work of the great Sardinian writer in which Sardinia is the background for the daily tragedies of life and in which the poetic force of the words of Grazia Deledda, through the voice of the actor Simeone Latini, blend with the evocative notes of the original music by Fabio Furia, composed especially for the show, while on the screens some repertoire sequences of Sardinian cinematography run. Thus, sounds, images and words become poetry, in a musical itinerary to discover a writer who has made the history of our land. It will be the fusion of music and theater that will determine the stylistic code of the show, entirely “Made in Sardinia”, giving life to a moment of celebration of Deledda and our land, truly unique in its genre.
An absolute premiere that will see on stage: Simeone Latini, actor and director; Fabio Furia, composer and bandoneonist; Gavino Murgia, saxophone; Walter Agus, piano.

Classico y Moderno

A new production of 2018 that offers the unusual bandoneon and violin formation in a repertoire to be discovered.
A walk through the centuries, from Bach’s sounds to Piazzolla and contemporary composers such as Matteo Martis. An innovative production, proposed as a world premiere for 2018, in which there is a strong focus on research and innovation of languages.
Almost a sort of experimental research, in which the folkloric elements typically linked to the tango, blend with the more classic stylistic elements.
On stage Fabio Furia, bandoneon and Gianmaria Melis, violin.

Tango Experience

An innovative production with a strong artistic and cultural value that combines a typically classical ensemble (flute and piano) with a highly unusual repertoire for this formation. A parenthesis on the border between the revolutionary jazz language and the imposing and passionate rhythm and timbre of Argentine tango. A passionate abandonment to the musical instinct that provides the public with a new listening perspective through a real emotional contact.
And so, from the music coming from the most authentic tango matrix, in a gradual break with tradition, we will pass to the unmistakable character of A. Piazzolla. A synthesis of past, present and future. Elegance and refinement will be the distinctive character of a musical show, produced exclusively by the Anton Stadler Association, capable of meeting the tastes of the wider public.
On stage Ambra Beretta, transverse flute and Maura Porru, piano. The show may also include the participation of Fabio Furia.

Back to Bach

A real interpretation in a modern key of the contrapuntal rigor and harmonic complexity of Johann Sebastian Bach, flanked by original compositions by Fabio Furia. Abandoning the supple and sensual rhythms of Argentine tango, Fabio Furia’s bandoneon, in this show, celebrates the genius of the illustrious German master, re-proposing some of the most beloved “Preludes and Fugues” taken from the monumental collection “The Well Tempered Clavier”. A renewed paraphrase of the well-known Baroque repertoire, in a real reinterpretation of the eighteenth-century stylistic and harmonic schemes, capable of making the masterful use of Bach’s counterpoint, often little known and understood, accessible to the general public. This is flanked by some modern compositions by Fabio Furia, in which the contrapuntal compositional technique is strongly taken up, as if to trace an imaginary conceptual bridge through history.
On stage Fabio Furia, bandoneon; Maura Porru, piano.

Sea and Sardinia

It is a musical and theatrical show dedicated to the homonymous work by David Herbert Lawrence, well-known author of the novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover. In this text, the English writer narrates his journey to Sardinia, starting from Cagliari up to the interior of the island, in a sort of mythical-metaphorical itinerary into the soul of the territory.
So in this production – entirely dedicated to Sardinia – the island is told through narration, music and images; Lawrence’s words are flanked by Fabio Furia’s original music, while historical and current images of that physical and cognitive journey through the most authentic Sardinia slide on the screens.
An important work of poetic-narrative and communicative research that proposes a vision of the island from a new point of view: not that of a Sardinian, but that of a European traveler, a cultured and curious tourist who visited and loved it, lived on his skin and decided to tell it.
On a strictly musical level, the project is even more ambitious, as it aims to offer the listener the suggestion of the Sardinian landscapes, recalling scenes of life and culture of this land, describing it with purely musical means. Not Sardinian music but Sardinian sounds and music.
The line-up includes: Fabio Furia, bandoneonist, composer and arranger; Simeone Latini, actor, director and playwright; Marcello Melis piano; Gianmaria Melis violin; Giovanni Chiaramonte, double bass.
